Ligaments injury

Sports injuries and knee ligaments ✝ The third part: Cruciate or cruciate ligaments 🌷 As mentioned before, the reason for the name cross or cruciate is the way these two ligaments are placed in relation to each other. The ACL anterior cruciate ligament extends from the front of the knee to the back and the PCL posterior cruciate ligament extends from posterior to anterior, the former prevents the femur from sliding backward and the latter prevents the thigh from sliding forward. There is another feature in the fibers of the anterior cruciate ligament, which is the position sense receptors that control the movements and blows on the knee during walking and weight bearing. 🌷 It is possible that any of these ligaments will be torn as a result of pressure and stretching, more than they can bear.
